The Speed of Trust...

This is an interesting book written by Stephen Covey and one that I thought might be interesting to review on my first real post to this "Blahg"

In the coming days, I will be reviewing several of the business books that I have had an opportunity to read in correlation with The Strategic Coach program that I attend 4 times a year in Toronto, Canada.  I will start with the most recent book and go back to those that have had an impact on my approach to business, and innovation.

Trust is the one thing that changes Everything...Covey writes.
Trust is common to every individual, relationship, team, family, organization, nation, economy and civilization throughout the world.  If removed it can destroy the most powerful government, the most successful business, the most thriving economy, the most influential leadership, the greatest friendship, the strongest character, the deepest love.  Trust then is a key leadership competency in the new global economy.  Speed happens only when people truly trust each other.  In sales, my father said..."Don't let any grass grow under your feet"  Speed with your eye on the details is always key in sales of any kind.  Think about the runners that dropped the baton...what happened to their speed in the next race?  Speed and Trust are inseparable qualities in business.

"Technique and technology are important, but adding trust is the issue of the decade."

If anyone has read this book or has thoughts on this topic...please chime in!  It's a Blahg:)  It's a beautiful day in Kansas!
